increasing breakfast interest 28/07/06
Clare broke with tradition today and had a slice of bread with butter and honey. This bread was the maiden loaf out of her parents' new bread-making machine. Clare had bought the flour in Gloucester. It was brown and full of seeds, though interestingly the advice on the packet was to cook it on the bread-maker's "white flour" setting... Clare drank tea.
Stephen also broke with tradition in wearing his iPod on the bus to work. Whilst this was - in the main - a pleasant experience, he broke off half way through a favourite song to order his breakfast. The shop was busy, so it took a while for his coffee to arrive. Stephen switched his iPod back on, became distracted and another customer took his latte. Stephen had to order a replacement, which delayed him still further. Overall, however, the coffee was enjoyable.
